Mike is a Tritch!

Posted in April 30th, 2008

[Ed: For an explanation of the term tritch, see the Guide Entry following this post, or click here]
Hello, Four Two community, please welcome my first contribution to this site (it’s been a while in the making):
We all hate navigating through parking lots. Some of us hate it more than others. The struggle is having to [...]

iBrows

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy says very little about internet browsers. It says even less about the “browser wars”. About this struggle between browsers for popularity and market share, it reads:
The Browser Wars were a terrible dissapointment when it comes to wars. The only notable point of the whole debacle is that it holds [...]

Out of staples and possibly pregnant? One-stop shopping…

Posted in April 22nd, 2008

When I was in Conyers this weekend, I noticed a new feature of a familiar store.
When the office party goes amuck because someone spiked the punch, and you and Ralph (the loser in the cubical next to you) ended up in the copier room–a discreet visit to Office Depot is all you need for confirmation.

How many strangers have your picture?

Posted in April 20th, 2008

In the vain of Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, a game created by college students based on the idea that everyone in the world is only six degrees away from each other, I’ve always wondered how people are connected via photographs.
For example, during a recent trip to the beach, I found myself looking right into [...]

We’re going to have to talk to you about that sign…

Posted in April 18th, 2008

Okay. I’ve got my almost used up chisel-tip Sharpie. I’ve got my poster board. A stick, some tape. And I’ve got my gung-ho rebel attitude all worked up because I heard that some Chinese people are the bad guys because other Chinese people don’t like the Olympics in China…or something. Whatever. I just want to [...]

We like what wii see

Posted in April 16th, 2008

There’s more to the wii than just extreme overall likability. The wii and its components have huge potential for abilities beyond what they already can do. Thankfully, there are people who realize this and are doing their best to take advantage of it. Take, for example, Johnny Chung Lee. He’s put together a number of different projects using the Wii Remote.

The NEW Depeche Mode Album - 3 years too late

I have to say when I stumbled across the video I was highly impressed. They’re a band that you don’t hear much from anymore, but Precious is a song that is modern but still rooted in the classic Depeche Mode of the 80’s.

Dishonesty Saves You Money!

Here’s a little proof that being dishonest can save you cash - meanwhile giving people like me a reason to expose the punk that did the following thing:

A courtesy flush & a standing ovation

Posted in April 10th, 2008

Irish director Paul Walker has a new view of public restrooms. ‘Let’s show a play, not just in a public restroom, in a New York public restroom at that’ (not to diss New York but the average public restroom in the city is pretty bad, even to me).

What is the FourTwo?

One hoopy frood The FourTwo seeks to provide its readers with satisfying answers to the questions they've always sought to understand.
Provided, of course, that such questions are directly related to what is going on in my life and in my mind at the moment.

What's New?

I'll be adding all the Hitchhiker's Guide entries from my old blog to this one, and they can be found in the Guide Entry category for your referential pleasure.

The FourTwo is going green! And you can, too! I set up a CafePress storefront (it's new, and thus, free of any customization at the moment) and the first item I'd like to feature is the FourTwo Canvas Tote, AKA reusable shopping bag. All the cool people are doing it, and now you can one-up them with your FourTwo shopping bags.
